Community Charter School of Cambridge is a charter public school.

Community Charter School of Cambridge combines challenging academics with creative use of technology and real-world experience to prepare a diverse student body, in grades 6-12, for postsecondary success and productive citizenship. CCSC students become excellent problem solvers and communicators who contribute to their community through internships and other field experiences.

The CCSC experience enhances students’ ability to confront challenges, supporting all students as they engage with a rigorous college prep curriculum.

CCSC has been serving Cambridge families since 2005, providing a rigorous academic program that places all students on the pathway to college success. The CCSC academic program is demanding, and students are held to very high standards both academically and behaviorally. The school’s small size, which combines upper school (6th-8th grade) and high school, and low student-faculty ratio ensure that every student is known well and supported in highly personalized ways by a dedicated and skilled team of teachers, administrators, and staff.

Apply to CCSC

Applying to CCSC is easy and open to all Cambridge families (and siblings of currently enrolled students who live outside of Cambridge).  You can access the online application by simply clicking HERE.  We run regular lotteries and encourage parents and guardians to apply as early as possible to ensure they secure a place.  While siblings of current students and Cambridge residents have priority, the lottery is open to students from any town in Massachusetts. Proof of Massachusetts residency is required with every lottery application.

We enroll new students in grades 6-9. Learn more about the lottery process here or go directly and  apply online here.
